Do I need to attend a court hearing?

Yes.

In either a Chapter 7 or a Chapter 13 bankruptcy case, you are mandated to appear at an administrative hearing.

This is called the “Meeting of Creditors”.  Usually this hearing will only consist of three parties: yourself, your attorney, and the appointed trustee.

You will receive mail notice in advance of this hearing, as well as a contact from my office.
